The Tre Smeder foundation has decided to donate half a million euros to Hanken and the fundraising campaign Count on Hanken. The donation will be paid out during the first quarter of 2022. The campaign Count on Hanken has received donations exceeding 3,4 million euros, including the donation from The Tre Smeder foundation.

The Alumnus/Alumna has also kept contact with Hanken and shown an interest in the development of Hanken after their graduation. This year, Hanken appointed Heidi Schauman as the Alumna of the Year.

Many countries in Europe are struggling to achieve higher vaccination coverage in the fight against covid-19. This has raised the question of how more people could be motivated to take the vaccine. A new study, which Hanken School of Economics has been involved in and which was published in the scientific journal Science, shows that a small payment equivalent to 20 euros made more people get vaccinated in Sweden.
