Hans-Kristian Sjöholm, Head of Global Equities at Evli Fund Management Company, has been appointed as Professor of Practice at the Quantum data lab at Hanken School of Economics for a period of three years.

Hanken's staff is warmly welcomed to the Opening of the Academic Year, which will be held in Helsinki on 1 September 2022 at 13 and in Vaasa on 2 September 2022 at 13. Instead of the announced kick-off in Helsinki on 19 August 2022, a dinner will be held in the evening after the academic ceremony. In Vaasa the dinner will be held on 13 September 2022.

The results from the joint entrance exam in economic sciences, held in June, have now been published for Hanken’s Bachelor degree programme in Helsinki and Vaasa.
The fundraising campaign Count on Hanken at Hanken School of Economics ended 30 June 2022. The campaign got support from a total of 691 private persons, organisations and foundations who together donated 6,6 million euro to Hanken. The raised funds will be matched by the government and strengthens Hanken’s basic capital.
Disinformation on social media is more than facts versus falsehoods or fake news. A new study at Hanken School of Economics shows that spreading disinformation is also an engagement program that encourages consumers to take sides in a culture war.
