Record number of students applied to Hanken 2022
The application period in this spring's joint application ended 30.3 at 3 pm. This year, Hanken received a total of 2153 applications for the bachelor's programme in Swedish compared to our record year 2020 when we had 2046 applications.
Since Hanken introduced new ways to apply that enable application based on high school certificates from Sweden and on the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (SweSAT) the interest to apply from Sweden has increased.
"It is of course a positive trend that Hanken’s education is an attractive study choice. Compared to 2021 the number of applications from Sweden has doubled", says Admissions Manager Ida Borgar.
The application for Hanken's master's programme in English closed earlier this spring and attracted 551 applicants from all over the world, with 152 students admitted to the Master's programme. The doctoral program has also been popular and 15 doctoral students were admitted out of a total of 214 applicants.
Entrance examinations spring 2022
Hanken's bachelor degree studies in Swedish is part of the joint admission to economics education, where 60 % of the students are admitted based on their matriculation examination and 40% are admitted based on an entrance examination.
The joint entrance examination is the same at all universities in Finland that offer education in economics. Hanken arranges entrance examination for economics education on 7.6.2022.
Hanken arranges the entrance examination physically in Hanken's main building and in the Espoo Metro Areena in Espoo. Applicants will receive a message with instructions on where to write the entrance exam a few days before the examination.
The arrangements are adjusted to the current pandemic situation and safety measures include safety distances and that everyone (both applicants and staff) uses safety equipment such as face masks.
