Conversational podcast inspires us to take actions towards a more sustainable world

Sustainability Unwrapped
In a new conversational podcast, “Sustainability Unwrapped”, researchers from Hanken School of Economics turn to experts outside the academia in order to come up together with solutions to how the world could be made sustainable. The first two episodes were out in the beginning of this week with new episodes every Monday. Two episodes every week will be released until the mid of December.

Hanken conducts high-quality and diverse research on themes related to sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals. This podcast has been conceptualised to disseminate the research to a larger audience around the world, says Sanchi Maheshwari, social responsibility coordinator at Hanken.

- The podcast stretches the boundaries and explores the latest thinking and doing on several sustainable development challenges and goals. The themes discussed are diverse and include artificial intelligence, sustainable fashion, responsible investment, and smart and sustainable cities. As an example, one of the episodes discusses reuse and recycling of textiles.

- Fashion and clothing industry is one of the largest contributors to global carbon emissions and thus, very crucial in our fight against climate crisis. We have collaborated with UFF to provide some concrete tips for reuse and recycling of  clothing and other textiles in Finland and beyond.

The podcast can be accessed via the podcast’s website or then via all the major streaming platforms such as Spotify, google podcasts, and apple podcasts.

Tune in to make this planet more sustainable and responsible one podcast at a time!
