Hanken’s first QTEM students received their certificates in Amsterdam
QTEM stands for Quantitative Techniques for Economics & Management and is an international Masters network with 23 member universities. In addition to studies in Accounting, Economics or Finance at Hanken, the QTEM network offers outstanding students the possibility to develop their analytical skills by studying quantitative subjects during a semester at one of the member universities. Students will also complete an internship as part of the programme, where the tasks should have a quantitative approach.
An important mandatory part of the programme is also the QTEM Data Challenge, a real-life consultancy project. In the consultancy project the students work in virtual teams together with students from other member universities. Hence, the QTEM network also offers a unique international exposure where the intercultural skills are developed.
– Analytics, international experience and intercultural communication skills are aspects needed today and even more in the future. By joining QTEM our students have a unique opportunity to become a part of a great network during their studies. QTEM graduates are encouraged to stay connected with the QTEM network also after graduation by joining the QTEM alumni group says Hanken’s QTEM Dean Minna Martikainen.
During the QTEM annual event three QTEM Data Challenge finalist teams had the opportunity to present their solutions to the task that was given by a company. One Hanken student participated in one of the finalist teams and the team placed second.
