Drop-in with the study coach
Would you benefit from getting some tips and support and having the opportunity to discuss a theme related to study habits, motivation or for example stress management? Or would you perhaps want to take the opportunity to ask the study coach a question or share tips and ideas with other students?
The study coach Alexandra Ohls offers drop-in sessions on Teams every Tuesday at 12:00-12:30. A different topic will be covered each week. You are welcome to drop in!
Themes for the drop-in sessions in May 2021

- Are you stuck with your thesis?
- Not enough time to meet the thesis deadlines?
- 11.5.2021 – Huvudämnesvalet (in Swedish – for students at the Bachelor level)
- Är du fortfarande osäker på vilket huvudämne du ska välja?
- Funderar du på hur valet av huvudämne påverkar dina framtida karriärmöjligheter?
We are now taking a break with the drop-in sessions during the summer.
What is a drop-in session?
- A drop-in session with the study coach is a relaxed Teams meeting where you can hang out with other students, ask questions, talk, and listen. There are no requirements and we will adapt the contents according to the wishes of those who join the session.
- We will speak Swedish or English depending on who is participating.
- The starting point is the topic of the week. You will some tips and we will also discuss, reflect, and share ideas and best practices related to the theme.
- You are welcome to turn on your camera so that we can see each other, but it is not a must.
- You are welcome to participate in the discussions, but if you prefer to listen mostly the first time you join in, you are welcome to do so.
- You do not have to sign up for the session – just drop in!
Why attend a drop-in session?
- You will get some tips and support and be able to take a moment to reflect and discuss around the topic of the week.
- You get to meet other students and have a chat.
- You can ask the study coach questions about, for example, study habits, motivation and routines.
- You can set a goal for the week and think about what you need to do in order to reach your goal.
- You notice that you are not alone in thinking that it is sometimes difficult or lonely to study remotely.
