Carol Tenopir Fulbright-Nokia scholar at Hanken

Nokia Distinguished Chair is 2016-2017 held by Professor Carol Tenopir from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Professor Tenopir’s areas of teaching and research include: information access and retrieval, electronic publishing, and the information industry. Her work at Hanken builds on her many years of studying scholarly communication patterns and what changes in scholarly publications can help researchers better accomplish their work.

- I am pleased to be working again with my colleagues at Hanken as well as contacts at FinELib and at University of Tampere, says Carol Tenopir. With their help, by the end of my visit I hope to better understand how academics in Finland use scholarly information in their work and how changing scholarly information needs might influence future changes in the international scholarly publishing business, she adds.
