Professor David B. Grant passed away peacefully in Kingston upon Hull on Aug 9, 2024, surrounded by his dear wife Anna and their cats and dog. He has been a vital part of the Hanken community for decades; having started as a senior distinguished visiting professor, he not only became professor but also the first international Dean of Research and Societal Impact of the Hanken School of Economics.

The Hanken alumnus Stefan Larsson’s first ever “Dare to Dream” scholarship has been awarded to Hanken students Anna Hägerström and Aileen Ahlskog. The students will have Stefan Larsson, CEO of PVH Corp., as a mentor for one year and get to visit him for a week in New York.

From 2025, universities will have nine national entrance exams, which will allow applicants to apply for a wide range of different subjects and universities. At the same time, the timetable for the entrance exams will be relaxed so that those selected by certificate-based admissions will no longer have to prepare for and take the entrance exams.
