Johanna Gummerus

I am Professor of Marketing at Hanken School of Economics. My work consists of research, teaching, and contributing to the scientific and business communities as well as the society in which we live.

My areas of interest entail service marketing and management (particularly Transformative Service Research, innovation, service design, and technology infusion), the impact of technology on consumer behaviour, and digital marketing in general. I am forever interested in expanding my knowledge base, particularly in questions concerning firms' social responsibility and consumer well-being.

I’m typically involved in projects that study consumers or that focus on theory building. I feel strongly about vulnerable consumer groups and advocating their well-being in the society. 

Over the years, I have published some 30 articles in refereed international scientific journals. I have been Associate Editor for Journal of Services Marketing, and serve in the editorial boards of Journal of Services Marketing and Journal of Service Theory and Practice.
