As a doctoral researcher I focus on humanitarian logistics, specifically on local procurement and market-aligned aid provision.
Previously I was a MEAL and Impact consultant in humanitarian contexts including in the Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Bangladesh, Pacific Islands, Jordan, Malawi, West Africa, Nepal, and Madagascar. In 2021, I founded the Local Procurement Learning Partnership for the WFP Innovation Bootcamp, and set it up at the Humanitarian Logistics Association.
I have previously received an independent grant from the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Lloyds Register to conduct case study of humanitarian supply chains during COVID-19, finding that localisation was a systemic response to supply chain disruptions.
