Anna is an Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management and Social Responsibility at Hanken School of Economics. Anna's research interests are focused on sustainable supply chains and circular economy, managing external resources and strategic sourcing, and data-based decision-making in procurement. Her work in these areas has led to numerous collaborations with research partners, companies, and public funding organizations, including Nordic Innovation, Business Finland, and the European Union.
Anna is currently a PI in various projects, including UrbanSymbiosis (funded by Academy of Finland and iSmile (funded by Nordic Innovation), LOGIN (Funded by Norske Forskningsrådet). Her expertise and research have led to numerous speaking engagements, including the prestigious Logy Conference. Anna is also a board member of the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY) and The Finnish Foundation of Logistics Research (LTES), and she chairs the Reward Committee at Logy.
Anna's doctoral thesis, completed at Aalto University, focused on the role of attraction and control boundaries in value creation within strategic buyer-supplier relationships. She has published her work in several academic journals, including Research Policy, International Journal of Production Management, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, International Journal of Distribution and Logistics Management, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Cleaner Production, and International Journal of Logistics. In addition to her academic work, Anna has also worked as a development manager at Pöyry.
