Amin Maghsoudi

Amin Maghsoudi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institue (HUMLOG Institute), Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. Previous appointment inlcudes School of Industrial Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran, where he held a post as a project researcher. 

Amin’s doctoral research investigated inter-organizational coordination among the network of actors in humanitarian supply chains. His research interests include humanitarian logistics and disater relief supply chains, supply chain risk and resilience, sustainable supply chains, digital supply chains, cash and voucher assistance in complex emergencies and refugee crisis. 

Amin is a project researcher in supply chain and logistics with international experience across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Currently at the HUMLOG Institute at Hanken School of Economics, he is the Principal Investigator of the DigCBA project funded by the Norwegian Research Council, collaborating with partners in Germany, Norway, and Uganda to explore digital community-based approaches for enhancing financial assistance in humanitarian contexts.  Additionally, he is involved in the Vol-Prep project, focusing on developing volunteer logistics skills/competencies for emergency responses in the Nordic context. Amin has also joined another project to review and restructure Red Cross logistics processes both locally and internationally.

Amin's research outputs are published in high-quality peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Operations & Production Management. 

Amin is also supervising Master's students and PhD candidates.
