About the artist:
Riikka Gröndahl lives and works in Finland. She holds a MFA in Fine Art from the University of Gothenburg.

Gröndahl's works are documentary-based videos and texts that include elements of performativity and site-specificity. Her interest lies in the act of being human, the representation of the human figure and in the human meaning-making through language, common narratives and actions. Through documentary attachments, her works develop into recontextualised, framed and staged moments of encounters.

Gröndahl also works with mixed media painting and drawing.
