Moomin Management - Breakfast & Book release
Welcome to the breakfast and book launch of the book ‘Moomin Management: Redefining Generosity’ at Hanken on October 2nd from 8:30 to 9:30. The event is open, but you are welcome to register via the link above so that we can better estimate the amount of breakfast needed. Registration is open until 25th of September 12A.M. The event will be held in English.
Since the 1940s, the Moomins of Moominvalley by acclaimed Finnish artist and writer Tove Jansson have captured the hearts of millions around the globe with enchanting stories and endearing characters. But beyond their adventures lies a surprising wealth of wisdom for the business world.
The new book published by Bristol University Press delves into the management practices of Moomin Characters Ltd, focusing on how they trade in copyright and nurture an art-based brand. The book, based on a two-year study by Paul Savage and Janne Tienari, highlights how the company’s principles of generosity, equality, respect, friendship, and adventure influence their business operations.
