Hanken Network Day: Keynote with Hankenaluma Hanna Westman

Life of a civil servant –  putting out fires in the finance industry 

For the twelfth edition of Hanken Network Day, our keynote speaker will be Hanken alumna Hanna Westman, Chief Economist at the Financial Stability Authority. Hanna graduated from Hanken in 1998 with a major in Finance. After some years in management consulting, she came back to Hanken for doctoral studies. Since her dissertation on European banks in 2009 she has primarily worked as a civil servant.

In a laid-back discussion with William Sundell, Head of Corporate Relations at SHS (The Student Union at Hanken), Hanna will share her career story and give insights from an interesting and perhaps different career within finance. You will also get an overview of the current economic development.
