SAT or ACT-based admission

Up to 60 % of the study places to the Bachelor programme in English are filled through SAT or ACT-based admission.

Admission based on SAT or ACT tests is the main method of admission. Apply in the SAT or ACT-based admission if you don not have a upper secondary school certificate from Finland.

Minimum scores

SAT 1100

ACT 22

Out of the total 60% of the study places reserved for SAT or ACT-based admission, the applicants are divided into two groups based on their educational background:

  • 50% of the study places are reserved for applicants applying based on a school certificate completed outside Finland or a school certificate that cannot be considered in the certificate-based admission, and
  • the remaining 10% is reserved for applicants applying with a certificate from Finland that indeed can be considered in the certificate-based admission, but who are not first-time applicants

Only SAT or ACT test results that can be verified with the test organiser will be considered. The score report must be valid during the application period and taken within the last five (5) years.

If you have delivered several SAT or ACT test results by the deadline for attachments, Hanken will consider the test score which gives you the highest score.
