3.6 Language requirement
It is mandatory to prove sufficient language skills to pass the general requirements for admission to both Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD studies. Applicants must demonstrate their language proficiency in English when applying to English programmes and in Swedish when applying to the Swedish programmes.
Why do we require sufficient language skills?
Hanken offers studies in English and Swedish. For that reason, it is important to us that all our students have a good command of the language in which they study already in the beginning stages of their studies.
A certain level of language fluency is a prerequisite for successful studies at Hanken so that students from the start can do group work, write assignments, exams and follow along during lectures in the language of the programme. For this reason, all applicants must prove their language skills.
