Hanken PhD student Michaela Lipkin awarded prestigious awards for her research
Doctoral student at Hanken, Michaela Lipkin was recently awarded the Young Service Researcher Award Opens in new window for her research in service marketing. Lipkin was also awarded the Highly Commended Paper Award for one of her conference papers.
The Young Service Research Award is awarded to young prominent researchers in the service marketing area, with the aim to motivate and support them. Researchers themselves can apply for the award, and the final receivers are appointed by a committee, based on the researchers' theoretical contributions. The award provides an opportunity to network with service researchers from other countries. For Lipkin the award also means appreciation for hard work.
"Receiving the award motivates me to move forward with my research and to work even harder. At the same time it is nice to be appreciated for the hard work".
Lipkin's successful research work has also been rewarded with JOSM's, Journal of Service Management, Highly Commended Paper Award. Lipkin got awarded for her conference paper "Different perspectives on customer experience creation - A critical review", a literature review based on the service literature, with focus on customer experiences.
"I am grateful that my research is appreciated", says Lipkin, satisfied with her choice of career.
The awards were presented to the receivers during the conference IRSSM5 Opens in new window , International Research Symposium in Service Management, 8-12 June in Pärnu, Estonia.
