The annual marketing competition for university students, L'Oréal Brandstorm Opens in new window , is on - and as in previous years, included as a part of the marketing course Image Management, with lecturer Åke Finne as course instructor and coach for the competing teams. This year's challenge is to create a new skin product range for men.
Five Hanken teams from the course qualified to the national L'Oréal Brandstorm final, of which two grabbed Finland's positions to the up-coming Nordic final on April 24. In the Nordic final the best teams from the Nordic business schools meet, and the winning team qualifies to the international final in Paris on June 12.
It is the two Hanken teams "Kiehl -It", with Vanessa Karkulahti, Daniela Lipkin and Jutta Hedlund, and "The Michelin Men" with Michelle Voullième, Elin Lahti Vuori and Robert Tenström that have set their sight on the finals in Paris.
"Right now the two Hanken teams are getting to know their Scandinavian competitors via video contact. The next step is to work with a Danish advertising agency, to get professional visually input on their ideas for the Nordic final, and hopefully also the international final, says Finne.
Last year's competition brought the Hanken team to a second position in the Nordic final.
