Rewards for external research funding
In order to encourage Hanken research groups to apply for external research funding, the School has developed an incentive scheme to promote applications for external funding from sources such as the Academy of Finland and the EU.
The incentive system promotes both applications made as well as granted funding.
On 15 June Rector decided to reward the following persons:
Projects that received funding:
- Virpi Sorsa (principal investigator), Thommie Burström, Juhana Peltonen, Jouni Virtaharju, Kari Jalonen for the project ’ Korkean vaikuttavuuden yritykset ja metropolialueen talouskasvu’
- Olli Pitkänen (principal investigator) for the project ’ Future Regulation of Industrial Internet (FRII)’
- Peter Sarlin (principal investigator) for the project ’ Digging into High Frequency Data: Present and Future Risks and Opportunities’
For applications that received good evaluations:
- Gyöngyi Kovács (principal investigator), Ira Haavisto, Peter Tatham, David Grant for an application to the Academy of Finland
Reward for an application that received good evaluations means that the application itself has received 5 out of 6 on the Academy of Finland’s scale on evaluating research funding applications.
Congratulations!
