Record Number of Students Admitted through Direct Admission
This year Hanken admits in total 288 new students to the BSc programme in Helsinki and Vaasa. This year a record number of new BSc-level students are admitted through direct admission, which means that 27 applicants are admitted based on their results in the matriculation examination. These applicants have been informed well in advance that they needn’t study for the entrance exam but will be admitted automatically 1 July.
To be admitted through direct admission the applicants must, among other things, have high grades in the matriculation examination and put Hanken first among the six choices in the joint national application system. Direct admission was first implemented at Hanken 2015.
Also the admission based on open university studies was record high. For the first time all 38 applicants that met the strict admissions criteria were admitted.
All admitted, 180 in Helsinki and 70 in Vaasa, are offered a study place through the national portal studieinfo.fi.
Here you will find a list of all who are admitted to Hanken 1.7.2016. ( In Swedish)
