Nobel prize in economics to Bengt Holmström and Oliver Hart
Professors Bengt Holmström and Oliver Hart have been awarded the prize in economics in memory of Alfred Nobel.
Hanken’s Rector Karen Spens, along with the Hanken faculty, expresses her sincerest congratulations to both laureates and wants to emphasize the importance of a Finnish scholar and an Honorary Doctor from Hanken to be awarded.
In addition to his long international career in academia, Holmström has worked as visiting researcher in economics and has been appointed Honorary Doctor at Hanken. The prize is awarded for his research in contract theory.
