Irene Calboli visiting Hanken as part of the Fulbright collaboration

Professor Irene Calboli from Texas A&M University School of Law is visiting Hanken as a Hanken-Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics until 10 July 2022.

Professor Calboli is also an Academic Fellow at the School of Law, University of Geneva, Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School, and Transatlantic Technology Law Fellow at Stanford University.

Her current research focuses on Intellectual Property (IP) and International Trade. Recently, she has been working on topics related to the intersection between IP and sustainability in particular with respect to the fashion as well as the food and beverages industries.

During her stay at Hanken School of Economics she is continuing focusing on IP and sustainability with special attention to product and business development. In particular, she is teaching a class on IP strategies in which students develop hands-on-projects and integrate elements of sustainability into their IP management plans.

"I am privileged to be able to collaborate with Hanken School of Economics on such important issues thanks to the excellent opportunity offered by the Fulbright grant I have been awarded. I look forward to establishing further personal and institutional relationships with the faculty and doctoral students during my stay", states Professor Calboli.

Professor Calboli will hold a seminar on her research on 30 May 2022. The seminar is open to all and free of charge.
