The Highly Commended Paper Award to Tom Berglund and Thommie Burström
Professor Tom Berglund and Assistant Professor Thommie Burström have both been awarded the Highly Commended Paper Award by the publisher Emerald.
Professor Tom Berglund was awarded for his paper "Optimal jurisdiction of financial supervision" Opens in new window , published in the Journal of Financial Economic Policy.
"It feels great to be recognised by external experts for the paper and thought behind it. It will be even more encouraging to further develop my thoughts as it has created a genuine interest among outsiders", says Tom Berglund.
Rettig Capital Assistant Professor Thommie Burström agrees with Berglund.
"Being internationally recognised for the research encourages me to take on new challenges. Also, I feel a great satisfaction for being awarded for this paper, specifically since we have opposed the traditional project norms and focused on people in projects instead of studying instrumental processes in projects", says Burström.
Burström's paper "The informal liaison role of project controllers in new product development projects" Opens in new window was published in the International Journal of Managing Projects in Business. He has co-written the paper with Associate Professor Mattias Jacobsson from Umeå School of Business and Economics.
The global publisher Emerald annually awards papers from each of its journals with the Highly Commended Award, amongst other awards.
