Extended Funding for PhD Students
All full-time students admitted to the Hanken PhD Programme in 2016 or later will receive guaranteed funding for the first two years of the studies conditional on good study progress.
–Hanken doctors are sought after on the labour market. Contrary to the gloomy national figures concerning employment rates of PhDs, our latest career study shows that 100% of Hanken doctors are fully employed within 6 months of graduation. For this reason extending the funding at this point is a good investment in order for us to continue to attract the best PhD students and support them in the early stages of their studies, says Dean of Research Timo Korkeamäki.
The extended funding will give PhD students the opportunity to focus fully on their studies. After two years of study the students have strengthened their competitive advantage noticeably when applying for external funding.
The next application period to Hanken PhD Programme starts 29 February and ends 1 April.
This extension of the funding period is made possible by the support from Stiftelsen Svenska handelshögskolan.
