Bachelor programme in English
In a nutshell
The Bachelor in Business programme is a 3-year-long full-time, on-site programme (180 ECTS) with the Bachelor in Science (Economics and Business Administration) degree awarded at the end.
Admission to the Bachelor programme leads to admission to both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree studies since the programmes are integrated (3 years + 2 years). This means that you can continue with your Master's degree studies here at Hanken right after your Bachelor’s degree studies without any sort of extra application.

Programme structure
The Bachelor in Business programme will consist of a variety of elements that have been designed to ensure that our students are prepared for work life after their studies. We want to give our students the tools to be able to thrive in an ever-changing world and to be able to tackle the challenges we face, and the programme is designed to do just that.
During the first year, all Bachelor in Business students will study general basic courses, languages, subject-specific mandatory basic courses. During the second year of studies, you will have courses together with other Swedish Bachelor’s degree students and study courses in your major, minor or elective studies, do an exchange or internship abroad (or internship + national language studies + integration studies) and start on your thesis. The Navigator Path is a series of three courses consisting of meta skills for studies, work and life, integrating your learning and interacting with companies and society.
Here is a visualization about the exchange timeline year 1–3. If you during your second semester year 1 choose the major Marketing or Marketing & Entrepreneurship you submit your exchange application to go on exchange in the Spring semester of year 2 and write your Bachelor thesis in the second semester of year 3. If you choose the major Accounting, Economics or Finance, you submit your exchange application to go on exchange in the Autumn semester of year 3 and write your Bachelor thesis in the second semester of year 3.
The Bachelor’s thesis is written about a subject that fits into the major that you have chosen. After the thesis is finished and the degree has been awarded, you can continue straight to you Master’s studies and develop further. Visit the programme pages for a complete overview of the structure.
