Host of the event
Hertta Vuorenmaa, University Lecturer
Hertta Vuorenmaa (PhD) is a University Lecturer in the Department of Management at Hanken School of Economics,
Research Program Director for the Future of Work initiative, and Chair of the Finnish Association of Work Life Research (FAWORE).
Her own current research includes themes such as the impact of artificial intelligence, remote work dynamics, organizational transformations,
human-centered work design, future work skills and learning, and workforce diversity and inclusion.
She has extensive experience in executive and professional education, having taught in EMBA programs in Korea,
Poland (Aalto EE), Madrid (ESADE), and Helsinki (Aalto EE), where her work on people management, organizational development,
and the changing nature of work informs both her teaching and applied research.
Petri Kokko, AI expert
Petri has acted as Managing Director Client Solutions, Central Europe at Google until the end of 2024.
Prior to this role, he has held multiple director roles in Germany. Before moving to Germany, Petri worked as Global Director for Learning and Development in Mountain View, California. He holds a Masters degree from Svenska handelshögskolan (Hanken).
Petri will talk about how AI will transform everything we do as an executive and non-executive on boards of both small and large companies, as well as academia.
Thommie Burström, Hanken School of Economics
Thommie Burström (PhD) is working as Senior Research Fellow in Entrepreneurship. He has a background as a sales manager and military officer. His academic interests are in AI topics related to corporate entrepreneurship, ecosystems, innovation management, and platform research.
In his talk Thommie will discuss an ongoing project “Integration of no-code AI” .
Janne Tienari, Hanken School of Economics
Janne Tienari is Professor of Management and Organization. He is interested in strategy work, people and artificial intelligence as well as branding, media, and social media. Together with Paul Savage, Janne is co-author of “Moomin Management: Redefining Generosity,” published by Bristol University Press.
Janne will present findings and ideas from research on human-AI interaction and managing people and AI
Mikko Vesa, Hanken School of Economics
Mikko Vesa (PhD) is an associate professor of management and organization . With a critical and practice-informed eye he examines technological and organizational change, musing on topics such as gamification, artificial intelligence, strategy and the human amidst it all. His work has been published in leading academic outlets e.g., the Academy of Management Review, Organization Studies, Organization Theory, and Organization.
In his presentation, Mikko will discuss the nature of algorithmic persuasion systems, asking: "Why is it that when confronted with an algorithmic recommendation we so readily surrender our authentic selves, and is there hope for freedom in the age of algorithmic capitalism?".
Susanna Takkunen, CEO, Accenture Finland
As of 1st September 2023, Susanna Takkunen has been leading Accenture Finland country operations, as the first female CEO of Accenture Oy. During her career she has held several leadership roles in various global consumer good companies in Europe and in Finland.
Prior to joining Accenture in 2021, she obtained a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Aalto University. Her research focused on exploring digitalization within the consumer goods industry, focusing specifically on organisational cognitions as an accelerator or impediment towards change. In 2023 and 2024 Susanna was nominated as one of the top 100 IT Influencers within Finland by TiVi.
Amy Chen, Senior Vice President & Chief Innovation Officer, Kone
With the purpose to shape the future of cities, Amy Chen leads the company’s customer-centric innovation unit, focusing on consistently bringing new solutions to the market. Those innovations also include spearheading applications of Generative AI at KONE.
Prior to joining KONE, Amy has extensive experience in corporate and startup innovations, as founder of Car2Share and CEO of car2go China with Mercedes Benz, and as COO of Didi and Li Auto’s mobility EV joint venture.
Sippo Rossi, Hanken School of Economics
Sippo Rossi is an Assistant Professor at Hanken School of Economics. Before joining Hanken in 2024, Sippo was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Copenhagen’s Department of Computer Science.Currently, Sippo’s research focuses on applied artificial intelligence in healthcare, with ongoing projects being done in collaboration with University of Copenhagen’s Department of Computer Science and Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital). His other research interests include bots on social media, AI-generated propaganda and the misuse of large language models, and as part of this research he has consulted various organizations in Denmark, with one notable result being the development of a machine learning-based hate speech detection model that is used by the UNHCR to monitor discussions on social media.
