Volunteer Logistics Preparedness for Community Resilience (VOL-PREP)
The VOL-PREP project aims to strengthen emergency preparedness in response to crises such as climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and pandemics. The project focuses on improving the logistics capabilities of volunteer groups, which play a critical role in disaster relief efforts, particularly within national frameworks in the Nordic region.
Date: 1.11.2024 – 31.12.2026
Objective: The project aims to develop the Standardized Operations & Logistics Volunteer Excellence (SOLVE) framework, designed to integrate trained volunteers into national emergency preparedness strategies. By enhancing volunteer logistics capabilities, the project seeks to bridge existing gaps in collaboration among governmental agencies, military, businesses, and humanitarian organizations, ensuring more effective and timely delivery of humanitarian aid during crises.
