Mekhail Mustak

Mekhail Mustak is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. His previous appointments include Assistant Professor, IÉSEG School of Management, France, and Post-Doctoral Researher, Turku School of Economics, Finland.

Mekhail researches on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in marketing, service marketing, and business-to-business (B2B) marketing. In particular, he focuses on the use of AI for better marketing decision-making and performance; superior customer participation in service business; and appropriate pricing strategies and enhanced profitability in B2B contexts. His research has been published in a number of reputed international journals, including Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Service Management. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Service Theory and Practice and the Service Industries Journal.

Mekhail is also passionate about teaching. His teaching experience includes both graduate and undergraduate level courses at IÉSEG School of Management, France, Turku School of Economics, Finland, Aalto University School of Business, Finland, Jyväskylä University, Finland, and Indian Institute of Management (Trichy), India.

Before joining academia, Mekhail was a Senior Executive at A.P. Moller–Maersk, where he was involved in international supply chain management for Nike, Puma, JCPenney, and Tesco Stores. Mekhail is also a mountaineer.
