Maria Gaudiino is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Management and Organization at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland.
Maria received her PhD in Business Economics in 2024 at KU Leuven (Brussels, Belgium), when she defended her doctoral dissertation titled “From office spaces to office places: A psychological perspective on employees’ experience of the physical work environment”. Her doctoral research contributed to the study of new workplaces by taking a psychological angle, particularly by investigating the phenomena of territoriality and psychological ownership in the work environment.
Maria has participated in several international conferences, among which EAWOP, EAOHP and TWR. In 2023, she has completed a research stay at University of Queensland (Brisbane, Australia).
Before her PhD, Maria already published several articles relating to her previous research interests: workaholism, work engagement and psychological detachment from work. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology and the Journal of Environmental Psychology.
