Larissa Becker is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at Hanken School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland. Previously, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Marketing at Tampere University and as a doctoral candidate in Marketing at Turku School of Economics. Before coming to Finland, she got her master’s degree at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and held academic positions at IMED in Brazil.
Larissa is interested in service research mainly from a customer’s perspective. Her research interests and ongoing projects revolve around the theme of customer experience (e.g., B2B customer experience, the interplay of touchpoints, customer journey segmentation). Moreover, Larissa is also working with service-dominant logic, compulsive consumption, customer insight generation, among other service-related topics.
She has received important awards for her research such as the 2021 SERVSIG Best Dissertation Award and the Best Paper Award at QUIS16. Her research has been published in international journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Service Management. One of her articles (Becker & Jaakkola, 2020) is a highly cited paper in the top 1% of the academic field of Business and Economics according to Web of Science. She serves as ad hoc reviewer for several journals in the fields of marketing and service, and she is currently co-guest editing a special issue in the Journal of Business Research.
