Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics

The Fulbright Finland Foundation is a service organisation that specialises in academic exchange between Finland and North America. The main goal is to support the internationalisation of Finnish universities and research.

Hanken School of Economics has signed an agreement with the Fulbright Finland Foundation regarding the grant programme Fulbright-Hanken Distinguished Chair in Business and Economics. The agreement provides prominent American Scholars the opportunity to lecture and conduct research during a 3-6 month visit at Hanken. During the stay, the scholar will also contribute in disseminating Hanken’s research and knowledge within the business community and society.

The agreement strengthens Hanken’s international profile, especially among scholars and universities in the US. Our networks will be broadened in the US, opening up the possibilities for new forms of co-operation.

How to apply

The U.S. program partner in the Fulbright Distinguished Chairs Program is the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). Applications are submitted through CIES, which pre-screens the applications in the United States and forwards the recommended dossiers to the Fulbright Finland Foundation in Finland for final selection. Applicants are advised to contact the Finnish host institution well ahead of time to solicit an invitation letter for their application.

Information to Hanken faculty will be sent out once the application round opens (every spring).
