The integrated Bachelor's and Master's programme
While Management and Organisation (M&O) has traditionally been about people in organizations and how to manage them, today our scope is wide. Retaining our interest in human and social dynamics in organizations we consider, for example, how new technologies play into strategy, management and leadership, and how sustainability-related opportunities and challenges arise in the contemporary global economy and can be managed with and through people.
The subject of M&O is the largest in the department and nurtures a strong community of researchers and teachers. The volume and range of our research activities is vast, and it is reflected in our courses in Bachelor and Master studies. Our teaching is characterized by variety, covering issues within people management and HRM as well as strategy and strategic management, international business, responsibility, sustainability, and business ethics.
You can study Management and Organisation as a major subject in the integrated Bachelor and Master's programmes in Helsinki and Vaasa. Please note that this integrated programme requires proficiency in Swedish. Our bachelor programme is run in Swedish, so please check out the information in Swedish.
On Master level we offer two English master's programmes, International Strategy and Sustainability and Marketing and Management. More information about the structure and courses for the Master level you can find here.
