Workshop Series
In this series of workshops Responsible Organising will take on the challenge to envision and prefigure ‘the School of Organising’ as an alternative to the business school as we understand it today, eg. as vocalized by researchers such as Martin Parker in his book ‘Shut Down the Business School’ and translated into the Finnish context e.g. by Alajoutsjärvi et al where the School of Organising is a ‘laboratory in which the future is being built’, providing students with resources for its own sustainable organising, as well as requiring them to consider the ways in which any form of organising benefits as many groups in society as possible rather than solely what can be construed as ‘business elite’ through ‘managerial capitalism’. The workshops will fall under different thematic foci, based on three interlinked themes: teaching, research, and organisation (of Higher Education Institutions).
We invite you to join us to explore new approaches that challenge conventional norms and envision how radical transformation of capitalist system can accur. The workshops are open to researchers, university personnel, students, and some to the general public.
