Bachelor and Master Studies
If you are planning a career as a financial manager, auditor, consultant, controller, bank manager, financial analyst or entrepreneur, then studies in accounting are for you!
When you major in accounting at Bachelor's and Master's level you will gain

Bachelor's level
Studies in accounting will equip you with:
- the basics of accounting: you will learn to compile financial information and to analyse and understand the information in annual accounts.
- The basics of managing value creation in companies, such as cost calculation and budgeting.
The studies are built around lectures and exercises:
- exercises and assignments to support your studies
- our cooperation with the business world will give you a strong practical connection and valuable contacts.
- We use digital media to further your studies. Some of the courses involve seminars in small groups.
You can combine accounting at the bachelor’s level with other subjects at Hanken:

Master's level
Studies in accounting will equip you with:
- detailed knowledge of consolidated financial statements and proficiency in international regulations such as IFRS and US GAAP.
- detailed knowledge in the use and communication of accounting information for decision-making, such as company valuation and decisions regarding operations.
- Detailed knowledge in accounting
You have an active role in your learning process:
- besides lectures, you will have assignments, often presented and discussed in groups.
- The assignments will challenge and develop your analytical skills.
