Welcome to the co-writing sessions – one hour of dedicated focus-time to work on your thesis!
What?
Co-writing sessions on Teams on Wednesdays at 9:00-10:00 (17 April – 19 June 2024).
For whom?
For those of you who are working on your thesis.
Description
During the co-writing sessions, you will have the opportunity to focus on your thesis without disturbances or distractions. The goal of our digital co-writing sessions is to create productive and motivating sessions where you can get things done while having peer support.
The advantage of this more limited scheduled timeframe is that it becomes more difficult to ignore it or think you will do it later. Scheduling this hour each week can be an important step in giving yourself the focused time you need.
This is how we work:
- We start with a brief check-in to make sure everyone is ready to focus, after which we begin the focused writing session of about 50 minutes. Try to make sure that you join the session by nine o'clock so that you will get a good start on your work.
- During the focus-time, we turn off our microphones and cameras so that we do not disturb each other.
- We aim for either the amanuensis Tanja or the study coach Alexandra to be there when the co-writing sessions start, but if we are not there, you will take care of the check-in and the check-out together.
- Are you alone in the room? Hang in there and allow yourself some focus-time. Maybe someone will join you while you are writing.
- When the hour is up, we will have a brief check-out before continuing with the day.
How can I join the co-working?
