START Summit, St Gallen 2024
We visited START Summit in 2024, together with Markus, Magret and Robert from the Lab and the impressive and international START Helsinki team. We experienced a lot of energy and new possibilities for co-operation. The first ever “Midsummer retreat” in Helsinki was envisioned by START Helsinki. Happy to see the delegation teams networks nourished and grown.
START Summit, St Gallen 2023
In March 2023, it was time again for the annual visit to Switzerland. Once again, the delegation consisted of students, Hanken employees, investors, and alumni. We also had the pleasure of having two representatives from Vaasa and the conference provided excellent opportunities for future projects in both locations.

Because of the pandemic, the streak of going to St. Gallen was broken. Instead the event was organised virtually.

Jan Vapaavuori
First in line is none other than the mayor of Helsinki Jan Vapaavuori, who received the Honorary Doctorate recognition of a successful and long-lasting career in business and society.
Jannica Fagerholm
As of 2019, Jannica is the new Chairman of the Board at Hanken which gives her a unique perspective on entrepreneurial leadership in today's society. Not only was it interesting to hear her take on the capabilities of a good leader today, but also her thoughts on how students can combine analytical skills with creativity in order to stay competitive in tomorrow's job market.
