Accounting
Research and education at both Hanken sites in Helsinki and Vasa have an international orientation. Accounting at Hanken is one of the leading accounting programmes in Finland and in the area of sustainability reporting we are one of the leading business schools in the Nordics. Our faculty has excellent contacts with the corporate world as well as with other leading business schools.
Our faculty is actively involved in various management education and continuous learning programs. Our doctoral program is integrated with the Graduate School of Accounting, a joint PhD programme with the other leading business schools in Finland. On average, one doctoral student per year graduates from our programme and we expect this trend to continue. Our research covers areas such as financial reporting, international accounting, earnings management, auditing, sustainability reporting and corporate governance.
Currently, a Double Degree Programme is also being developed in collaboration with the Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (Master’s Programme in Sustainability Reporting and Financial Analysis). More information about the new programme will be available soon.
